Soul of Savannah

Oh sweet Savannah......We recently took a 3 day mini-vacay to Savannah with our besties and we had such a fabulous time!   The lowcountry has a flavor all it's own.  There is a vibe that resonates with my soul and it's all about southern hospitality.  The architecture is incredible and I make a point to absorb everything I can about the craftsmanship of the railings, corbels and the decorative trims that adorn the homes there.  I'm always searching for ways to recreate and incorporate vintage style into my own furniture builds and Savannah is a never-ending source of inspiration.

The view from the front porch of our rental home is spectacular.....especially the handsome hubby.

Our rental came with a complimentary porch cat we named "Carlyle" for the duration of our visit.  What a sweet little girl.  She visited us every time we stepped outside.

The fountain at Forsyth Park is a fine example of the craftsmanship sprinkled throughout the parks in Savannah.

The most important ingredient in any great vacation is the people you share it with.  We always have a great time with our beloved Cameron crew.  Check back tomorrow when I'll share with you the color inspiration I discovered in Savannah which will be reflected in a new venture here at Farmgirl Outfitters.  Until then....do what makes your heart sing!

I love levi's and flannel shirts with the sleeves rolled up.  I love every opportunity to create unique furniture whether it's simply a repaint or a custom build project.
