"I'm basically a local college student who likes to sew. I've been sewing for 9 plus years, and around high school I decided that I had gotten good enough to sell my creations (I was also running out of room and didn't know what to do with my creations). As far as what you need to know about my shop, I sell dolls (mostly humanoid, but I've dabbled with creating animals), my fabric of choice is felt, and I have a passion for color and an eye for detail!"
Ohhhhh....I'm so excited to introduce you to one of our new vendors in our Holiday Barn Sale Event next weekend, Nov. 12th-13th. Cassandra Cushman is a sweet, sweet soul who pours her faith and talent into her artwork. I met Cassandra at the Fall Art Crawl here in Statesville and just fell in love with both her art AND her spirit. You know how you just feel it when you meet someone and sense that there is something so beautiful inside??? That's what it's like meeting Cassandra. I'm so honored that she will be gracing our barn sale with her inspiring, uplifting art. Here, in her own words, is a little bit about Cassandra...
"I am married to my best friend, momma to two sons and we have two pups. You can find me hiking trails or mountains with my love and making creative messes in my art room. Getting lost in the paper, paint, pencils, paste and finding the words to put on each piece that encourages and connects us is where my joy is. The Lord shows me every day to trust in Him and he has never let me down."
Want to see more of Cassandra's work? Check out her website http://www.cassandracushmansart.com/. You can also subscribe to her art videos on youtube.

My dream is to be a jewelry designer and to have my own shop and I am working my way towards my goal. I don't have one specific style, I like a little bit of everything and I try to show that in my jewelry!" |
